About Me
A native of Hungary, I come from a family of craftsmen, mostly woodworkers. Yet I was not interested in finding my own medium until I started to have kids and I got a degree in music and language arts. Felting is relatively common in Hungary. I had my first hands on demonstration at a local craft fair. Later I taught myself from the book “Nemezkészités” (Feltmaking) by Mari Nagy and István Vidák.
Now I live in the States, and for me this means new dimensions in this ancient craft, some really innovative feltmaking and lots of personal relationships in fiber arts.
Among my masters are Sharon Costello, Chad Hagen, Jorie Johnson, Theresa May-O’Brien, Mehmet Girgic, Inge Bauer, Inge Evers and Renate Maile-Moskowitz.
I have been teaching introductory felting at the local Adult School for 3 years. I also occasionally volunteer in elementary schools to educate about wool and feltmaking.
I am the member of the Northeast Feltmakers’ Guild and take part in their many exhibitions on the east coast.
I love using my hands in many different areas: it gives me and incredible pleasure to cook, bake, garden, spin, knit, dye and -most of all- taking care of my family, my students and my extended community in Princeton, NJ.
